A sound installation built from recordings gathered across West Java — bus depots, night markets, the hill wind in Dago — arranged for twelve speakers in the old municipal theatre with Ruang Bunyi.

Field Notes is a sound installation built from recordings gathered across West Java: a market opening before sunrise, rain on a tin roof, and the soft rhythm of a train crossing a bridge.

The work asks visitors to slow down and listen for the geography inside an ordinary day.

For one month the theatre stayed open after dark, the speakers left running, so passersby on the square could hear the recordings migrate through the building as the night cooled.
