Nocturne

An original score for a short film about memory, distance, and returning home. The score combines prepared piano, tape loops, and a small ensemble of found percussion.

The cue sheet was built backward: first the sound of every room the story happens in, then the pitch each space already suggests — nothing plays over a close-up that the room would not itself have answered.
